Older adults

Older adults are the age group that spends the most time sitting. However, limiting sitting time is linked with better health outcomes, better functionality and lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

Sit Less
  • Limit sitting time to 8 hours or less. This includes no more than 3 hours of recreational screen time.
  • Try to break up long periods of sitting.
