Information about diabetes

DIABETES INFORMATION & RESOURCES

People with diabetes face many issues with serious effects on their physical, emotional and financial quality of life. Controlling diabetes requires an around-the-clock commitment from the individual with diabetes. The onset of complications due to diabetes - increased risk of cardiovascular problems and stroke, eye problems and poor blood circulation - can be delayed and even prevented through effective diabetes management. At KSDPP, we believe education is an integral component of diabetes management and care. Everyone needs access to proven, effective and professional education about diabetes. We have compiled educational resources from the National Indigenous Diabetes Association, International Diabetes Federation and Diabetes Canada in one convenient location. However, we encourage you to always get regular follow-ups and seek advice from your physician and your diabetes healthcare team.
