Community Advisory Board (CAB)
Amelia Tekwahtonti McGregorAmelia Tekwahtonti McGregor, a revered community leader and knowledge holder, was one of the founding members of CAB in 1994. She provides vital contributions to KSDPP for Indigenous research methodology, health promotion and community education. In addition, she has nurtured everyone including the many students. For her inspiring leadership, McGill University awarded her an Honorary Doctor of Science in 2023.
David (Davey) DiaboDavey is a community member who brings many years of experience to KSDPP in the field of Recreation, as he was formerly the Director of the Kahnawá:ke Youth Center.
Dianne LabelleDiane Labelle (no pronouns) has 40+ years of experience in the world of education as a teacher, consultant, administrator and presenter. Diane is the Regional Pedagogical Counselor for the First Nations Adult Education School Council and works at decolonizing the curriculum in order to better serve the Indigenous learners of the many nations in the region. She has campaigned for the rights of Two-Spirit people since 1976, as a specialist and researcher, and is often invited to speak on the issue of gender and colonialism.

Philip DeeringPhilip, Professor at Concordia University, joined CAB in 2010. He brings many years of knowledge in business and cultural knowledge to KSDPP.
Kyle DelisleKyle Delisle is a Kanien’kehá:ka of Kahnawá:ke. He worked for over 20 years with the Kahnawá:ke Economic Development Commission (Tewatohnhi’saktha), including three years as CEO, during which, he was involved with the Harvard Project on Native American Economic Development. He also served as Vice President – Finance of Kahnawá:ke Sustainable Energies, a subsidiary of Tewatohnhi’saktha that developed and implemented a 24MW wind farm on the South Shore of Montreal. He was also CEO of Mohawk Internet Technologies, an internet service provider owned by Kahnawá:ke and previously managed by Tewatohnhi’saktha. Kyle served on the Executive of the International Intertribal Trade and Investment Organization and on the Membership Committee of the International Economic Development Council. He is now Executive Director and President of the Kahnawake Business Contribution Foundation, a not-for-profit that focuses efforts on providing equality of opportunity for the children of Kahnawá:ke. Kyle has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University and a Master’s of Business Administration degree from Cornell University and Queen’s University.

Wahéhshon WhitebeanWahéhshon is the Education Research Consultant and Ethics Chair at the Kahnawà:ke Education Center. She was appointed to the Research Team in 2021, and then to CAB in 2022. She is a PhD candidate in Educational Studies at McGill University in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education. Wahéhshon has extensive experience in community work, leadership, and language/culture reclamation. The primary focus of her work and research is on language/culture revitalization, Indigenous education, and Onkwehón:we pathways to health and well-being.
Chantal HaddadChantal is a professional Dietitian/Nutritionist at the Kateri Memorial Hospital Centre and has been a CAB member since the beginning of KSDPP in 1994. Her contribution to diet and nutrition is immeasurable. She continues her service to the community in her current role of Dietitian and Nutrition.

Nadine MontourBookkeeper
Nadine previously worked as Finance Manager at Kateri Memorial Hospital Centre before retiring and joining the KSDPP team in 2021 . She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and at her cabin in Tiowero:ton. Kim DelormierCommunications Coordinator
Kim joined KSDPP in March 2025. She has an extensive background in graphic design and communications, working both independently and within various community organizations, and beyond. Kim enjoys the outdoors, caring for her animals and most of all, spending time with her granddaughter.

Lori Diabo-McComberAdministrative Assistant to KSDPP and Diabetes Action Canada
Lori joined KSDPP in 2021 and is responsible to organize meetings, recording, and transcription of meeting minutes, and ensuring follow up. Lori retired in 2020 after 29 years at Kateri Memorial Hospital Centre, the last 22 years as Executive Assistant. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, reading and doing jig saw puzzles. Coreen DelormierProgram Director
Coreen joined KSDPP as Program Director in October 2024. With over 20 years of hands-on experience building connections and fostering collaboration among businesses, organizations, and stakeholders, she brings strong leadership and a deep commitment to advancing KSDPP’s mission and values.
Shannon UdyResearch Consultant
Shannon Udy is the Research Coordinator at KSDPP and a citizen of the Métis Nation of British Columbia. She is a registered dietitian and has worked in partnership with KSDPP since 2021, completing her Master of Science in Human Nutrition at McGill University, under the supervision of Dr. Treena Delormier. Her research supported community food security and Indigenous food sovereignty in Kahnawà:ke.

Katsi’tsí:io, Onkwehonwe from Kahnawà:ke, is a research coordinator for youth-led, action-based research that explores how to engage youth in community. She is passionate about the journey of decolonization and re-indigenizing aspects of life, in particular her mind and way of living. She has a six-year-old daughter and a "dog-daughter", teaches yoga and is passionate about physical and wholistic health. Although she has a masters of health science in mental health and a masters of social work in the Indigenous field of study, she is learning there is more to life than Western education and understandings of “work” and has been on a journey to live sustainably.
