Cameron Hare

Cameron is a member of the Métis Nation of Ontario and has been working with KSDPP since 2023. He is currently a graduate student at the School of Kinesiology and Health Studies at Queen's University

Juan Camilo Calderón Farfán

Registered Nurse with a Master’s in Public Health and a PhD in Health Sciences. He is currently conducting postdoctoral research at the Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR), in collaboration with KSDPP. His research focuses on Indigenous and intercultural health, particularly in relation to food systems and population health. He is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing at the Universidad Surcolombiana (Colombia).

Youssef Boulis

Youssef is an Egyptian–Ethiopian Health Sciences student at Queen’s University and a former competitive soccer player and swimmer who is interested in healthy eating and physical activity as tools for lifelong health and well-being. He became involved with KSDPP through Dr. Lucie Lévesque and has been an undergraduate research trainee since September 2025, working under the mentorship of Dr. Alex McComber and Dr. Ann Macaulay on KSDPP’s Personal Empowerment for Healthy Lifestyles and Diabetes Prevention workshops, and contributing to community-based research on physical activity, holistic wellness, healthy nutrition, and type 2 diabetes prevention.

Derek Wasyliw

Derek Wasyliw is a Ph.D. candidate in Kinesiology Sciences at McGill University and currently works within the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Alberta. A KSDPP research team member since 2014, his research revolves around bridging Indigenous and Western research methods to co-construct relational and ethical programming through CBPR approaches. Passionate about holistic wellness, Derek collaborates with Indigenous and non-Indigenous partners to advance culturally grounded, land-based, and intergenerational mentorship programs in PHE.

Marisol is a Research Assistant at the Centre for Indigenous Peoples’ Nutrition and Environment (CINE). She holds a master’s in Human Nutrition and supports summer students' projects at KSDPP related to Dr. Delormier’s Canada Research Chair.
