His research focuses on community-based health promotion and program evaluation in partnership with Indigenous communities in Canada, Colombia, and Peru. He is particularly interested in realist evaluation, arts-based research, knowledge translation, and the recognition of traditional knowledge.

She is passionate about the journey of decolonization and re-indigenizing aspects of life, in particular her mind and way of living. She has a six-year-old daughter and a "dog-daughter", teaches yoga and is passionate about physical and wholistic health. Although she has a masters of health science in mental health and a masters of social work in the Indigenous field of study, she is learning there is more to life than Western education and understandings of “work” and has been on a journey to live sustainably.
