Resource Tools

Over the past 10 years the Kahnawake Schools Diabetes Prevention Project has developed a number of resource tools for education and intervention as well as data collection and evaluation. Some of the resource tools are available on-line, others may be ordered and the rest are available upon request at info@ksdpp.org.


Diabetes Shockers DVD
KSDPP presents a new DVD relating the real-life stories of Kahnawákeró:non living with the burden of diabetes.

The Three Sisters Cookbook has recipes based on the three sisters corn, beans, and squash. These of which were the staple foods of many of the aboriginal peoples across turtle island. From appetizers to desserts these tantalizing dishes will satisfy your taste buds and as a bonus are healthy for you.

The Kahnawake Schools Diabetes Prevention Project's video"Taking the Resposibility to Heal Ourselves" is a 25 minute information video on the experiences of the successful 3 year Diabetes Prevention Project in Kahnawake, a Mohawk Territory located near Montreal, Canada.
