2007 Harvest Fair King and Queen of the Crock Pot!

Well, they proved it! Four ambitious chefs from the community of Kahnawake proved that they are worthy of Crock Pot royalty. In the end, Kahrhiio Diabo, a young chef in the making, won the contest with an amazing 47 votes (poker chips). The community deemed him worthy of the title “King of the Crock Pot”.

The Kahnawake Schools Diabetes Prevention Project (KSDPP) is pleased to congratulate the King and Queen of the Crock Pot. KSDPP is also thankful for the 87 people who willingly tasted each of the dishes and chose the winners.

Kahrhiio Diabo was crowned King of the Crock Pot with 47 votes for his tasty dish – Gingersnap Pot Roast (click for recipe card).

The Queen of the Crock Pot was Pearl Johnson, who had 15 votes for her Meatless Tofu Chili (click for recipe card).

Runners up were Mr. Joel Jacobs for his Sirloin Tip with Crimini Mushrooms and Sherry (click for recipe card).
And Ms. Kellyann Meloche with her tasty Cabbage Roll Casserole (click for recipe card).
